Fusky is a great new techno artist located in Athens, released a new EP on globox digital. Fusky is well known to our local Athens crew because of the last party of shituationist institute in Athens (24th of December). Fusky was one of that party’s lineup , offered a spectacular live set . Actually , according my impression after the live set of fusky at shituationist institute Athens vol2 , I was expecting something familliar as the next step of fusky’s music production. The new EP, released on 24th of January, which means the release is fresh and we are probably the first blog online writing a review concerning this EP — is definitely a satisfaction for those who love the sound of minimal and techno. Somehow the sound reminds me one of the best summers of my life , that one of 2007 where a lot of great parties and events took place in Europe especially in Berlin. I invite everyone to have a listen preview of this nice EP on beatport as well as , why not? buying this new EP here and support the artist . With no doubt this release is recommended.

Featured Artists : Ancient Methods
Ancient Methods consists of 2 DJs based in Berlin, Baeks and Trias. Before they decided to form Ancient Methods were more well known for their residencies in the old Tresor club.Their regular residencies in a small, dark basement like Tresor’s bunker room has obviously had a big impact on their sound. A sound that has been supported by DJs such as Surgeon, Adam X & Regis & has been characterized as ‘pitch black techno war funk’.According to them the fact that they got bored of minimal encouraged them to start Ancient Methods.They released their first album (First Method) in 2007 & since then the buzz behind their name has been growing bigger & bigger. So far they’ve released 5 eps on their label(Ancient Methods) & a 2010 collaboration with Adam X (Cardiac Dysrhythmia). The artwork clearly reflects their medieval mood that’s full of smashing snares & distorted,spooky effects.
They manage to create raw, cutting edge industrial atmospherics with an oldskool feel & it simply is techno at its very best!

record review: James Blake – CMYK EP
The 21-year old James Blake is definitely one of the most surprising new artists currently in the UK. His recent EP CMYK for many people is the most inspiring release for 2010. It came out through R&S label last may and is available on vinyl and digital release. If you ask me If what I think about this release or furthermore if this release is the best of James Blake so far , I would answer yes. I highly recommend this release , actually it would be great if you buy the vinyl instead the digital release. You can make your order at Juno download. James Blake is certainly one of those artists , who his name is gonna be a constant topic in the electronic music scene.
