The next event of shituationist institute in Athens will take place soon (at 3rd of February 2010) ,in a location well known by previous party announcements of this blog. Astron bar remains one of our favorite party location of Athen’s city center for many year now. At this time we invite 2 djs from Berlin to join us and offer something new to the Athenian shituationist friends as well as the electronic music lovers. If you never been at one of our past events take this post as an open invitation to party with us , meet , talk and get know each other
The party line up with 2 djs/friends from Berlin and two of our residents in Athens announced bellow
24th -26th of September marks the opening of the Shelter 23 club. The club can be found in the Vilka Area of Thessaloniki, at the former location of the 12inch club.
We fully support this club for various reasons, the future will bring the details. Think of an incredible new space with an innovative lineup, many guests from abroad (especially Berlin), a shelter in a fucked up world, a place in progress.
So here are some details, the opening weekend is planned as a continuous party. The lineup so far is this:

After the new year’s party , fresh energy is coming up , new inspiration for partying around the city. In fact exhaustion is over , so time for new parties. Tonight at Astron bar a rather good event will take place. If you re around , come for a beer
Gazi area as we continually write here on insti2te remains the fancy bar center of Athens especially the last 3 years. The commercialization of that area was probably a prioritized future term plan for all of the city authorities(local governments) . Therefore I m not really motivated to write(promote) for events that take place there often.But if you live in stress and in a big city sometimes you really feel that you have to hang out in order to get more relaxed , well it might be the only possitive thing with Gazi area , a diversity of house / techno events in several locations take place every week. This week a rather good house event will take place look the info on the flyer bellow.
Tonight as every Saturday night , we are ready to hang around on the several parties in the city. Tonight a rather interesting event will take place at Astron bar (psisri). Chemie , Ian Cran from Italy will show up on the decks of the bar and hopefully will keep up us awake until late in the morning. Im gonna be there but also I ll take a look on different parties as well , so If you want to recommend anything just shoot on the comment form.

This weekend in Athens a diversity of events will take place. Already Chrisoval wrote something about the event that a lot of people are impatiently waiting … Tsuyosi suzuki / Matsuri production from Tokyo , one of the holy monsters according the history of trance , together with Mark Allen / Matsuri production. Well as far as I know the half of the people from the insti2te are going there.More info about that event check the article of chrysoval here Me and probably some other friends are definitely going to an other event , actually with a lot of curiosity because we never attent in the past in a event of the duo LTJ BUKEM & Mc Conrad live in Athens. The popular duo of the atmosheric drum n bass directly from London in a unique event at a space that I never been before , therefore I cant write more details (sygrou 103-105 ). The creators , driving force of good looking records will play in Athens and thessaloniki this weekend . .. An alternative to all of this remains the Astron bar on friday and Saturday . You can check the myspace site for the upcoming events here , Especially on Saturday a rather interesting event will take place there.
Last Saturday in Athens , we started hanging out in the cold streets of the city the temperature bellow 10. The basic idea was to visit a fancy bar with a house music line up somewhere in Gazi area. Gazi is the super stylish expensive area of the city center. Finally didnt really work out , the people in that bar were moody and lame , not much was going on obviously , it was frustrating definitely. We decide to run directly to an other party and the Saturday techno searching journey has started. We got some drinks for the way and one of the friends suggested to check if an other bar was open tonight named Astron bar. I was so excited because in the times I was living in Athens Astron bar was one of my favorite locations.
It was really good idea and worked out perfectly. A guest dj was playing , his name bale night light , He was playing with turn tables really good stuff , house and tech house beats inspired all of us to dance for hours as well as everyone did in the bar. In fact Astron is a real underground place , in a city where the whole underground scene is falling apart. The parties are rather weird/nasty parties the conditions shit , super expensive , the environment and the social vibes inexcusable.
The dj of the night gave me a paper with his blog , durring the short chat we had and I would like to link it with our blog , I found it really interesting and usefull for electro music lovers. We go party tonight at void dance bar in the very center of Athens around Gazi area (eymopildon 26). Billy Joy and Alex2jay will show us their skills on deep,soulfull and house vibes , If you dont have a better party to go come to drink a beer with us tonight , as far as I guess nobody has better suggestions tonight with this moody rainy Grey weather outside. If you wanna belie my theory please send me as soon as you can where are you going party tonight.
