This is an other release by Artist recordings that I can’t find many reasons to complain about. 4 tracks by GeneticBros – Overextended (Viper Rec,TalkinBeatz,Artist Recordings),Indivision - Evolution (Beta/Toolroom/Have-A-Break Recordings/Climate),Subsonik – feat.Essence – Inside Your Mind (Subsonik Sound Recordings),Prestige & Nik Itch – No Exit – (GRID Recordings are included to this first part of Artist recordings EP with official release date January the 23rd. Dreamy vocals, melodies combined with powerfull breaks designed for the dancefloor, seems to be the clear direction proposed by artist recordings. As we also mentioned few months ago in previous review concerning artist recording release, the background as well as the reasoning of the label does not seem so bad. I dare say is somewhat progressive in our days and this is because its efforts of trying to mobilize new artists to show their work and spread quickly new impressive tunes. Marusha radio show back to 1991 collection
As I promised to a handful of readers of the shituationist institute who follow me on facebook , I was about to post something really special today , celebrating the 3rd year old birthday of this blog. I realized recently that the new generation of ravers and contemporary music followers in some point totally ignore the past years of the scene. Therefore i have searched and found few exclusive radio shows on the berlin radio in the beginning of the 90s named dancehall by the well known to older generation of ravers “Marusha”.
Marusha remains in my opinion part of the essential times of the rave explosion , her name will remain connected with the years of rave counter-commodity culture , temporary liberated zones and certainly with the Love Parade. Unfortunately You cant download the files besides the last one which is only 8 min, but you can probably find something by searching on the web. cheers

Outlook Festival, 1st-4th September 2011
Outlook Festival is with no doubt the largest bass music festival in Europe. Outlook takes place for the 5th year now around at one of the most beautiful areas of Croatia (Fort Punta Christo – Pula). Many friends were there the last years and they shared with us the best impressions. The festival is already sold out according the info at the official website , you may contact the organizers for a last minute ticket? not sure that you will succeed indeed.
Concerning the line up of the festival , especially the dubstep one , even though some really great acts go there this year such as Skream and Benga , i didnt really get excited. It seems that the influence of the post dubstep of our days partly didnt effect the line up of outlook 
. I would prefer to see a more progressive style this year.
The other part of the line up we are interested for ,are certainly the drum n bass participations for this year. I could write that this year’s line up satisfies me a lot , with some of my favorite acts announced , such as Jenna G , Shy FX , friction , D Bridge etc. The whole line up for all stages and different genres of the festival can be found on the website. http://www.outlookfestival.com/lineup/

New stuff from the berlin dj/producer Prayton . He has produced a remix of ICR´s “Somebody Else” and made an very energetic amen- drum and bass oriented song out of it with evolving pads getting pitched and modulated trough all frequencies..very hypnotic!!
Dr.Motte, one of the first berlin DJs, as well as founder of the Loveparade and probably one the most politicaly-active guys in town, has published new tracks on his Label Praxxiz. I really enjoyed his remix of the track “Sunfighter” he has made together with DJ Dag.Its like pure peak-time techno mixed with dubby house pianos and freaky sounds seducing you to dance immediatly…
The guys from the live-electronic project Dürerstuben have been putting some new songs on their soundcloud, too. As I allready wrote the last time, its the perfect music for dancing totally wasted in the early morning hours…Always very catchy, very deep and very hypnotic.
Dr.Nojoke one of the most crazy live-artist I´ve ever seen( during his perfomances he is making sounds with empty bottles, concertinas, every kind of metal and everything that makes a sound) has published an really freaking awesome remix of “Retrovailles” by Pheek.It starts with strange noises while in the background the four to the floor kick is building up and leads to an catchy beat with complex rhythmic structures and melodies… Really interesting and intelligent electronic music .
To conclude and to give a proper warm-up for your weekend activities, here are some nice dj-sets ranging from dubstep to house. The first set was mady by DJ Zweifuss from Berlin.Its an nice mixture out of pure techno, some techhouse and weird and freaky house tracks .
The second set from is the greek Dj and producer Paul Grey . Its energetic deep-house with bouncing basslines mixed with techhouse and percussive tracks.
Finally theres some dubstep by Sleepwaker, one of the founders of the Dubstep-Standards partys in Berlin.He has made an very fresh dubstep-set, combining some wonky and uk-funky tracks with wobbling stuff.

Approximately a year ago I ve attended on a party at bios club in Athens where Russell Whyte aka Rustie was playing a dj set. That time I was really impressed about this guy’s stuff , the same in the current days. I ve noticed by reading stuff on the internet that Rustie is really active on music production. Recently Rustie released an EP in Warp records . You can also have a look for stuff rustie released the last years by discogs . The Glasgow based producer is definitely one of my favorites. He usually produces dubstep/bass music and beyond so you should check him out. You can always check for news and updates at his myspace as well.
