Mix Countdown 6/10
A mix I really appreciated this year, is the first mixtape by Neulich Irgendwo , an uprising DJ-team from Potsdam, the small and apparently underestimated techno-suburb of Berlin. The mix combines a nice blend of discohouse, some acid and lots of timeless afterhour-classics, you normally only would aspect to be played on a sunday-afternoon at Golden Gate. I associate this mix with the A.K.N.E. ‘ s summer-actions, when we always used to play it on our soundsystem Mobile Dufte Mini Anlage (MDMA) , while raving trough the city, taking part in some street-parades and demonstrations.

2010 release review
WOW…What a surprising year is coming to an end! A year full of parties, festivals, releases and tons of music. It’s difficult to sum up each and every big tune and groove! We could sit and discuss for hours the music we liked and remember, but i’ll try and pick some of the releases that banged my ears and made my body groove to the beat…Heeeeere we go….

IIIIIIIIIIII I love you…BOOM!!!! And the party starts! A bomb release by a known and unique artist full of percs, deep sounds, lots and lots of bass, weird vocals and 2 ways of setting the dancefloor on fire! Cobra sun, tribal percs and hypnotizing vocals…not ur style? not a problem…the flipside mate and you have a darker track kickin and groovin everything!

http://deepmix.ru/ is an awesome radio station based in Moscow opened in 2002. Actually i got know this radio from a good friend in Berlin. According the request of many shituationist readers to recommend an interesting radio station playing deep house and deep techno music , I couldn’t find something better than the deepmix.
More specific on deepmix you can find live and recorded deep techno and deep house DJ sets most of them from Moscow. DeepMix.ru web radio focuses on the less commercial electronic music styles rarely heard anywhere else. A non-profit project, the radio remains advertizing and talk free. The people behind the project are popular in a international level , organized many good events with guest djs from abroad. Stuff I´ve found on Soundcloud
New stuff from the berlin dj/producer Prayton . He has produced a remix of ICR´s “Somebody Else” and made an very energetic amen- drum and bass oriented song out of it with evolving pads getting pitched and modulated trough all frequencies..very hypnotic!!
Dr.Motte, one of the first berlin DJs, as well as founder of the Loveparade and probably one the most politicaly-active guys in town, has published new tracks on his Label Praxxiz. I really enjoyed his remix of the track “Sunfighter” he has made together with DJ Dag.Its like pure peak-time techno mixed with dubby house pianos and freaky sounds seducing you to dance immediatly…
The guys from the live-electronic project Dürerstuben have been putting some new songs on their soundcloud, too. As I allready wrote the last time, its the perfect music for dancing totally wasted in the early morning hours…Always very catchy, very deep and very hypnotic.
Dr.Nojoke one of the most crazy live-artist I´ve ever seen( during his perfomances he is making sounds with empty bottles, concertinas, every kind of metal and everything that makes a sound) has published an really freaking awesome remix of “Retrovailles” by Pheek.It starts with strange noises while in the background the four to the floor kick is building up and leads to an catchy beat with complex rhythmic structures and melodies… Really interesting and intelligent electronic music .
To conclude and to give a proper warm-up for your weekend activities, here are some nice dj-sets ranging from dubstep to house. The first set was mady by DJ Zweifuss from Berlin.Its an nice mixture out of pure techno, some techhouse and weird and freaky house tracks .
The second set from is the greek Dj and producer Paul Grey . Its energetic deep-house with bouncing basslines mixed with techhouse and percussive tracks.
Finally theres some dubstep by Sleepwaker, one of the founders of the Dubstep-Standards partys in Berlin.He has made an very fresh dubstep-set, combining some wonky and uk-funky tracks with wobbling stuff.

Stuff I´ve found on Soundcloud
The Berlin-based netaudio live-electronic artist Proeff just has published
a new song on his Soundcloud.
Its an catchy composition of clicky noises, uptempo beats,
ambiental pads , jazzy pianos and surely will seduce to dance and can be
downloaded for free .
Prayton one of the resident-djs of the monthly Bass-Dive partys at
the VCF- Club in Berlin has published an nice and dreamy
and very harmonic song called Millennia. It somehow reminds
in Kalkbrenner-Stuff in a positive way and it fits to the end of the summer or a nightdrive trough Berlin.
The live-electronic project Dürerstuben also published new stuff on their Soundcloud.
Its very deep and slow stuff with minimalistic beats, described as
“music with character and soul” .
It is perfect music for wasted dancers in the morning-hours; very catchy,
very hypnotic, very danceable
And finally I wanted to present you an jungle/dnb mix by Fractalbreak.
He is also an Berlin-based DJ, and always presents very interesting stuff
from different fields of music with broken beats..
