Marusha radio show back to 1991 collection
As I promised to a handful of readers of the shituationist institute who follow me on facebook , I was about to post something really special today , celebrating the 3rd year old birthday of this blog. I realized recently that the new generation of ravers and contemporary music followers in some point totally ignore the past years of the scene. Therefore i have searched and found few exclusive radio shows on the berlin radio in the beginning of the 90s named dancehall by the well known to older generation of ravers “Marusha”.
Marusha remains in my opinion part of the essential times of the rave explosion , her name will remain connected with the years of rave counter-commodity culture , temporary liberated zones and certainly with the Love Parade. Unfortunately You cant download the files besides the last one which is only 8 min, but you can probably find something by searching on the web. cheers

Fusion festival (short note) and a video from the last year
Fusion is a large alternative music Festival in Germany. It takes place in an old Soviet military base at Larz . This year fusion took place from 30th of June till yesterday. The motto of the festival is holiday communism , the area is huge with more than 12 stages of electronic music and beyond.
It is possible to have a mini report from the festival the next days by the friends who joined this year .
The tickets were sold out very early , i bet many of you were searching for a ticket at the last minute. People who never got there before , below there is a video in two parts to get an impression from one of our favorite festivals. Personaly I joined fusion twice, you can read my report/older critique from 2009 or by drofnothing from the last year. Every comment from this year’s fusion is welcome, the same though with reports , videos etc..

Fusion 2011 is already taking place at the old soviet base area (like every year) , with the majority of the shituationists to be there as we do every year indeed , dance and enjoy the annual holday communism. The rest of us who couldnt make it for the festival this year are looking forward for the annual Fusion festival report.

Mix Countdown 6/10
A mix I really appreciated this year, is the first mixtape by Neulich Irgendwo , an uprising DJ-team from Potsdam, the small and apparently underestimated techno-suburb of Berlin. The mix combines a nice blend of discohouse, some acid and lots of timeless afterhour-classics, you normally only would aspect to be played on a sunday-afternoon at Golden Gate. I associate this mix with the A.K.N.E. ‘ s summer-actions, when we always used to play it on our soundsystem Mobile Dufte Mini Anlage (MDMA) , while raving trough the city, taking part in some street-parades and demonstrations.

Death in Love Parade
Something went terribly wrong in the last edition of the Love Parade which took place in Duisburg (Germany’s Ruhr region) on July 24. Massive crowds bottlenecked in one of the entrances, and 21 people were crushed to death and 500 injured. Read more by the GlobalRaver here

full moon festival Germany 2010
Besides Ozora festival , an other “big” trance festival takes places in Europe , “the Fullmoon”. This year the festival will take place at 21-28 of July. Anthony rother new release “Popkiller 2″ and a release party at Cocoon 21st of May
Anthony Rother is often one of our residents at this blog. Actually many of us like his music and follow his work for many years now. For those who dont know Rother , is an electronic music producer and label owner (he owns datapunk) living in Frankfurt. Our aim in this post is a brief presentation of Anthony Rother’s contribution to electronic music , as well as to announce his new work Popkiller 2.
Anthony Rother counts an essential number of good electro and techno tracks and collaborations with artists such as dj hell , Sven vath and many others. In addition to electro Rother also composes dark ambient stuff. I catch up with his music actually not really in the beginning of his career but a bit later in the 2007. The electro sound produced by Rother is rather unique characterized by repetitive machine beats and robotic vocals , sometimes reminds a lot something of kraftwerk and the very beginning of this “futurist” concept.
A release “presentation party” of popkiller 2 will take place at 21th of May at legendary Cocoon in Frankfurt , perform LIVE and play a DJ Set – with support from Butch and Sven Hartmüller, if you live close to this dont miss it.
