Reminder for Tomorrow: subsonic noise till mental disorder

announcement: shituationist institute upcoming events and new future spring plans

Shituationist institute is moving forward. New plans , new ideas , new motivation and inspiration. We already count few successful events in Athens and Thessaloniki , with many guests as well as  djs from our local dynamics in Athens , Berlin and Thessaloniki. The music style of the previous events fluctuated between techno and tech house mobilizing many of our friends in those cities. Spring is definitely the right moment to develop and escalate our involvement with electronic music from now on. A new event of the shituationist institute  will take place in Nicosia , the largest city and capital of Cyprus.

Considering important to give something new to the local scene there as well as establishing new contacts for our network , we organize a dubstep/drum n bass event with a guest dj from berlin , fancypunk resident on this blog and a local drum n bass dj. Our plan is to start organizing a diversity of events in many particular sites of Europe , with always keeping in mind and focus to the needs and inspiration of the various  local scenes. We call every person , collective who wants to get in touch and organize something with us to send us a message.

At our last meeting (two of us) with a lot of drinks and nice conversations we have decided to change a bit our style and reconsider our concept. We will post an announcement soon as well as you will easily notice the changes and the new upgraded layout.

summer break of si-blog.net?

Hello summer lovers .. Im currently back to the civilization , trying to encourage you to escape from the European metropolis , you do probably live in. My escape mission this year is getting adventurous and inspiring for future plans  at the hard winter who is probably coming. As you probably noticed the si-blog doesn’t really function… there are no news of upcoming events , reports or articles the last month because everybody has the right to a break. We are certainly coming back dynamically  in few weeks with new ideas and more progressive music.. Until then enjoy some of the August beats (tracks and mixes we collected for you ) and send us your reports where ever you are .. We can probably post them here.


ps: I publish some nice photos from the place I was free camping the last 1.5 month. I would like to express my solidarity with the free camping campaigns around Europe since It remains elegal in the E.U .. special thanks to Katerina S. for the nice photos

1st party of shituationist institute in Athens: April the 30th

Our first party in Athens is coming up! We are glad to announce that our party crew in Athens is organizing  an event in a gorgeous location at the 8th floor, with a panoramic view of the city and a great line up.  Besides Dj Stiv Sai and Dj Sourbi (I recommend you to listen their sets, see links below),  Dj Spacenowhere (a.k.a fancypunk) and Dj an63l (a.k.a. angeldoumis) with be warming up with an atmospheric drum ‘n’ bass back to back set, both of them from the dynamic of the shituationist institute djs. Dj Beatter (resident of freakuency radio) will also play. So we are waiting to see you there. If you read this blog, feel free to come and talk to me….

report + videos/photos: space invaders against boredom(1st party of shituationist institute + freakuency radio) at Thessaloniki 30-01-2010 (part1)

Our first party in Greece is a fact. It was a great event , the djs gave inspiration , the people were dancing till the end and the queer , party people attitude was excellent. Instead a party report , we are referring the short notes of Aris (a person behind the organizational process in Thessaloniki) and some more thoughts by fancypunk author of this blog and dj at the party(second part available tomorrow) . You can also find 2 short videos with kalle and tristen playing as well as many photos. See you at the next event .. party is everywhere

As I ‘m getting many a congrats-message, and although I try to respond personally to everyone, I have only one thing to say: I ‘ve been in many a party with great sound, great DJs, in an optimal location etc. Often I didn’t have fun at all; cause it is the party-people, the mood that they bring, that makes a party.

This party was a success cause the people who attended were not aggressive, we were all there to have fun, we acted friendly and politely and we (well me not so much, as I sadly was far too busy :P ) danced “like nobody’s watching” :-)

The space invaders are normophobic. They love socializing and people who are friendly and good-mannered, that being the essence of partying (along with good music and very dark decadent spaces, unquestionably)

At 7:00 we had to discontinue the use of Peirama, so we moved to another location and partied till after 10:00!

Thank you all, for making this a really ENJOYABLE event!

The party actually took some time to get started. I was too busy running around to understand what precisely was going on, but my sources tell me that after 3:00 we had a great mood and lot’s of crazy dancing!

Especially, but not exclusively, and in no specific order, Giannis Dracopoulos, Harris Tzortzis, Antonio Dalkiran, Panagiotis our bartender and Lena, Fancypunk , fly butter, and Angelos our warming-up-DJs. This event couldn’t have been the success it was without you!
