Its been a while from our last post with some nice drum n bass/jungle tunes. Therefore we are glad today because someone finally sent us some new jungle tunes. Kamistry jungle is an artist located in Manchester UK. As He wrote to us in order to describe his recent tracks on soundcloud: There is nothing unheard before, just straight up Dance Floor Shaking, Old Skool, Heavy Amen Break Beat Jungle. Also includes a remix of the Reggae classic Ghetto Rock by Tapper Zukie. As usual every Thursday you can download the tracks for free. A special thanks to the artist.
The Irish acid house/techno producer Automatic Tasty(Jonny Dillon) who claims that the internet has washed his brain, is the person behind the cleverly and so on the spot titled ‘Life After Dept’ LP, which was out on The Centrifuge Label about a year ago. It’s an album that moves somewhere along the Rephlex and oldskool electro lines. Plenty of analog warmth, 303 basslines and funked up synths for you to enjoy!
Few weeks ago, we asked our readers to vote for the best club of the year.We would like to thanks everyone who participated to this. Readers worldwide , from countries such as Netherlands, United Kingdom, Greece, Germany, Australia, South Korea, USA, Canada, France, Japan, Poland, Austria and more.
the 5 Best club of the year according the majority of the people who answered are:
1) Berghain (Berlin)
Berghain/Panorama bar close to the Berlin wall, the name is taken from the two big city districts. The club is located in a former power plant in Friedrichshain, behind the Berlin Ostbahnhof railway station. The building is distinguished by its enormous dimensions, which accommodate an 18 meter high dancefloor and space for 1500 guests, and also its minimalist interior design, dominated by steel and concrete. The best djs and artists of contemporary electronic music, especially techno and house from this planet are often guests of Berghain. Events like SUB:STANCE of Scuba is definitely remarkable. You can read an interesting article about berghain by example magazine
2) Corcica studios (London)
CORSICA STUDIOS is an independent arts organisation that sets up and develops creative spaces in areas of London. Over the last six years we have become a much-loved and respected club, live music and arts destination for discerning clubbers and music lovers. We are home to many of the capital’s finest events, parties and club nights and constantly represent the best in left-field and underground music and talent. http://www.corsicastudios.com/
3) about blank (Berlin)
About blank is a rather new club, located in the east Berlin side. It runs by a collective and hosts many left wing projects and parties such as Love techno Hate Germany
This venue remains one of our best-beloved destinations for the shituationist institute team and friends. We spent loads of weekends in this place as well as we involved in many parties organized by us and friends. The official page of about blank is http://aboutparty.net/
4) Pratersauna (Vienna)
I was never been there. But few people mentioned this venue in Vienna.Im using the description from their website. This former sweat’n’bang wellness center surrounded by the peaceful Prater greens is an old-school Viennese institution (1965), still unspoiled by its original architecture and its dubious reputation. Its minimalistic space combining 60’s charm with contemporary interior and art design is set up as a ‘micro cosmos’ for creative communities. The official webpage http://pratersauna.tv/site/
5) La macarena (Barcelona)
This is an other unknown venue in Europe for us. According Resident Advisor : Intimate techno club right in the heart of Gotico. Regular label nights and a DJ who spins virtually in the middle of the dancefloor. Nice crowds and open every day of the week.
This is an other release by Artist recordings that I can’t find many reasons to complain about. 4 tracks by GeneticBros – Overextended (Viper Rec,TalkinBeatz,Artist Recordings),Indivision - Evolution (Beta/Toolroom/Have-A-Break Recordings/Climate),Subsonik – feat.Essence – Inside Your Mind (Subsonik Sound Recordings),Prestige & Nik Itch – No Exit – (GRID Recordings are included to this first part of Artist recordings EP with official release date January the 23rd. Dreamy vocals, melodies combined with powerfull breaks designed for the dancefloor, seems to be the clear direction proposed by artist recordings. As we also mentioned few months ago in previous review concerning artist recording release, the background as well as the reasoning of the label does not seem so bad. I dare say is somewhat progressive in our days and this is because its efforts of trying to mobilize new artists to show their work and spread quickly new impressive tunes. So it is worth your attention. You can download it for free by following the link with the instructions at breakbeat.co.uk here

The new album of Blu Mar Ten is out since the end of October and its absolutely mind blowing. Blu Mar Ten have really outdone themselves, the “Love is the Devil” is probably one of the best albums this year for the whole electronic music scene. The mellodies in this album come directly from the sky,the vocals are rather compatible with the beats and all together show the way how to produce the perfect album.
Over 90 minutes and 18 songs, I bet you wont lay down your sofa while listening this album. Blu Mar Ten are over 16 years around, recording music, well known for those kind of style of drum n bass. They also run their very own Blu Mar Ten records . Skeptical’s vinyl debut was on Ingredients back in May 2010 with “Transfer / Block 305. This is the new one fresh released few days ago on ingredients records. 4 tracks are included on this ep and you can have a preview bellow this post.
Ingredients Records was launched in July 2009 by Clive aka Dj Psylence. Having been into the whole scene since the early days of 1991, raving to Ltj Bukem, Carl Cox, Hype, Fabio & Grooverider, Randall & Mickey Finn, then moving to london & attending the seminal Speed nights in the West End, as well as the first Metalheadz Sunday sessions in 1995, his experience of this genre was well equipped for the future. After playing on Pirate radio for 4 years & dj’ing in and around london for 10 years, he decided the time was right to launch a label.
