a new radio show starts by Meditative Monkey from Athens on freakuency radio on Wednesdays at 20.00-22.00 Athens , 19.00-21.00CET Berlin , 18.00-20.00 London. The previous Meditative Monkey was really immpressive , sounds from the ambient chill out music to trance beats.

Last friday in Athens , as the most of you know, there was a big event held in Bios. Two of the legends of drum n bass Goldie and Randal showed up! Good atmosphere , great people attitude, although the place was a little crowded. Goldie and Randal started with calm drum n bass but about 02:00 they put fire in the dancefloor! Goldie was so energetic . It really seems that he enjoy it so much…. “this is Athens … make some fucking noiseee!” he was shouting! He also came to the dancefloor and raise the crowd ! I forgot to tell that the warming up was also good.

Could tore open the bass drum and try to escape in it!!!! Thanks to Bios and Innersense Productions on Friday March 5th @t Bios club in Athens was held probably one of the best Drum nd Bass parties of 2010. Guest staring Metalheadz one of the first dnb record labels featuring Goldie owner of Metalheadz, remixer and d.j Vs Randall a pioneer d.j of Drum nd Bass. The vibes were kickin, the music was loud , tense and everything we could hope for a blasting Friday night. The dance floor was full and by the end of the night Goldie and Randall themselves joined in and danced with the crowd.

Although the entrance fee was a bit expensive and without a free drink it did not ruin our night or the positive vibe of the party. Cheers and respect from the Athenian dnb massive crowd.

Athens witnessed a night of “mayhem” that will hunt us for the rest of our lives. After the extraordinary intro set by Junior SP. and Cryogenics, the pioneer of jungle and drum and bass Goldie along with his companion legend Mr. Randall both managed to bring the Athenian crowd into an ecstatic state. The organization was flawless as it was undertaken by the best and most experience team out there. Goldie started off as “slow” as inner city life can be and the crowd just went mad.

It was the moment that history was about to be written. Legendary Randall expanded Goldie’s selections into a high-energy sound that kept all Athenians moving till the end. Music was spread in the room accompanied by Goldie’s unique gestures and words about his love for music and guess of what else…of Greek heritage!. Randall kept motivating the crowd with his mixing skills, a true lesson for all presumptive drum and bass artists. It has to be said that the venue proved a bit small and although kind of “posh” for such an event,

Goldie and Randall finally transformed it and led the crowd into an unprecedented atmosphere that will be remembered for ever. As Goldie states, “If you can make drum ‘n’ bass music, you can make any form of music you like.”

As we announced some weeks ago, Goldie is playing live in Athens (today) at Bios (yesterday He played in Thessaloniki).It could be probably one of the best events in Athens for 2010 , especially if you love drum n bass. We got the info for this event by (our friend) Dysphemic , also one of the guest djs at the long weekend Branded Beats in Melbourne/Australia. 2 days with drum n bass , dubstep , breakz , techno and electro. Dysphemic is playing at 2:30am and Got a couple of fresh new tracks.Im quite interested for this part of the world since Australia is into my plans for the next year to visit. I would definitely like to make videos and interviews , try to get an idea for the Australian “scene” every help and suggestion is welcome.
