Opening night transmediale 2015 CAPTURE ALL

The shituationist institute is back to business apparently. Currently we are enjoining hanging out with friends, remaining hard in terms of alcohol drinking and visiting various cultural events around Berlin.. Well not as many as few years ago, but we are certainly still actively interested. Next week I already made a promise to a friend, that I am going to visit the ceremony opening evening of transmediale 2015 CAPTURE ALL, which will actually take place at Haus der Kulturen der Welt. According the information that the hosts provide, the ceremony will include speeches as well as interventions by artists participating in this year’s programme. The welcoming words by Bernd Scherer (HKW) will be followed by a thematic introduction to the festival programme by the artistic director of transmediale Kristoffer Gansing. Well.. The highlight of the evening will be the speech of the technology activist Peter Sunde (formerly The Pirate Bay), one of the main reasons for me of being there besides the drinks, dj sets and friends who will definitely be around socializing.

Further, the artists Erica Scourti, Jennifer Lyn Morone, LaTurbo Avedon and Art Is Open Source [AOS]: Salvatore Iaconesi and Oriana Persico will give performances, predictions and sale pitches that introduce key concepts of the festival. In addition, artist and writer Hanne Lippard will do a CAPTURE ALL reading. The opening programme also includes the video installation ‘Hoax_Canular’ by Dominic Gagnon, shown in the Theatersaal, activities and drinks in the foyer space and DJs at the Café Global Stage.
There is free admission so feel free to join.. The website of the who thing is http://www.transmediale.de/ so check this out…
